An opportunity to hear more about the Technology Strategy Board call for projects and to set up collaborations

Under the Low Impact Buildings Programme the Technology Strategy Board will be launching a call for projects that will support businesses to innovate in the provision of Design and Decision Tools.
The competition opens on 15th June so this is an opportunity to learn in advance about the competition itself and to meet people who may also be thinking of bidding into this challenge programme. It is likely to be valued at about £4 million.
The topics that TSB will be looking for in their call may include:
· Integration of established tools and the provision of new interfaces and methods of accessibility
· Extension of tools to more conceptual phase of design process and to make available learning from buildings in use to inform general and specific design decisions.
· Extension or development of modules that provide information of the cost and carbon impacts of material and components, environmental performance data and on the operational phase of the building.
· Exploration of sensitivities of outcomes to variability in design and operational variables.
The meeting will outline the call in more detail as well as giving delegates a really good opportunity to meet others who may be interested in setting up collaborations to bid for the call.
